Roulez éveillé: The app that helps drivers test their level of arousal before driving
Roulez éveillé is a free application offered by VINCI Autoroutes Corporate Foundation that enables drivers to test their level of arousal before driving. The app is designed to help drivers identify periods when their level of arousal is inadequate and provides advice sheets developed in partnership with the National Institute of Sleep and Alertness (INSV) on best practices to promote effective rest before and during a journey. The app also provides information on the dangers of drowsiness and fatigue while driving. Roulez éveillé has a simple and rapid test based on the measurement of the reaction time to the onset of visual stimuli. The reaction time of the user is saved, and the app compares it to a previously established baseline. If the average response time and variability are significantly different from the baseline, the user is warned of potential fatigue or drowsiness. The app also allows sharing on social networks.
